In addition to a fully comprehensive training program for our athletes, GWSA provides a truly unique experience by integrating multiple disciplines in to the seasonal programming.
Every athlete should graduate our program knowing how to comfortably hold a free-standing hand stand in perfect line. Achieving a streamline position while balancing in space will make it very easy to intuitively achieve that position in the water.
Our strength training program, run by Primal Fitness, is designed to build the athletes from the inside-out. While we place a heavy focus on total body range of motion and flexibility, we incorporate hand-balancing, tumbling, gymnastics, Olympic rings, stretch cords, and martial arts into the program design for all age groups. As they progress, our older athletes will learn how to properly handle medicine balls, kettle bells, and battle ropes.
Not only do we cater to coaching swimmers for competition in the pool, GWSA also prepares athletes for multi-sport endeavors. We are proud teammates with the Run For God organization based out of
Whitfield County. We use a variety of methods to
condition triathletes in the water, including 50m pool
training (skill work, drills, & conditioning), diving well
work, and open water training.
